Debbie Chavez
Debbie has 27 years of experience in secular talk radio, serving as Morning News Anchor, Program Director and Talk Show Host. During her 12 years as a morning talk show host at KGMI in Bellingham, WA, her program was consistently #1 in northwest Washington. As KGMI Program Director for over 15 years, Debbie led KGMI to receive the prestigious national Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters for “Best Small Market Radio Station in America” in 2006. She hosts her own daily radio program The Debbie Chavez Show and most recently, Debbie began as the radio co-host for The Mark Gungor Show and TV co-host of Love, Marriage and Stinking Thinking with Mark Gungor.
Debbie serves as a volunteer Chaplain at the Whatcom County Jail and leads weekly bible studies in her home. She has also taught Sunday school for young children for over 12 years and served on the board of Evergreen Christian School in Bellingham for 2 years.
Debbie and her husband Raul have 5 children and 5 grandchildren who delight their hearts. In her spare time, Debbie loves to cook and bake, entertain guests at their home, work with flowers in the garden, read, and travel.
